Privacy notice

The technical data that may be processed, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Effective from 2026-09-07

Data controller

The data controller is Monetaise SRL, VAT no. 14107580962, Via Bocchetto 6, 20123 Milan, Italy. Privacy requests may be sent by post to the same address.

Technical data and purposes

The site is delivered through Vercel, which may process technical data necessary to deliver and protect the service, including IP address, request date and time, requested page, device information and security logs. The basis for this processing is the legitimate interest in keeping the site available, secure and reliable.

A visit to the domain root uses the country code derived from the IP address to choose Italian for Italy and English otherwise. Mangia l’Italia does not store that country code or create a visitor profile from this choice.

Optional measurement

Google Analytics 4 loads only after consent. If you accept, we receive statistics about pages viewed, navigation paths and reading progress. Normal measurement includes the page URL and title plus technical browser and network metadata; we do not transmit internal-search words, the source corpus, book excerpts, form data or an account identifier set by Mangia l’Italia. Analytics identifiers are described on the Cookies page. Advertising and personalisation signals are disabled.

You may refuse without losing functionality and change your choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Retention, recipients and transfers

Technical data is retained by service providers for the periods required by service, security and applicable configurations. When Analytics is authorised, Google acts under its own terms and may process data outside the European Economic Area using transfer mechanisms provided by applicable law.

We do not sell personal data and do not use Analytics for advertising or remarketing.

Your rights

Where provided by law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
